Birthday Celebration of Dr.S.R.Ranganathan (Indian Father of Library Science) at Sri Manthiramoorthi.Hr.Sec.School, Tirunelveli - Town on 7th August 2013.
Being a Research Guide and library professional in the field
of library science, I along with my Student conduct certain celebrations like,
Library Week Celebration, Indian father of Library science, Dr.S.R.Ranganathan
birthday celebration and world book day celebration in various schools every
year in order to inculcate the reading habits and create an awareness about the
importance of Reading among the students. Also the students are told about the
library usage procedures. We conduct competitions like essay writing,
elocution, drawing, quizzes, cross-word puzzles and award prizes and
certificate s to the winners. We also give thriukural books and certificates
and encourage all the participants.
